Rainbow School Norms
At Rainbow School, discipline and values go hand in hand with learning. The school has established clear norms to ensure a positive, safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Punctuality and Attendance
Students must arrive on time before the morning bell and attend school regularly.
Leave of absence should be informed in advance, except in case of emergencies.
Leave due to illness requires a medical certificate from a doctor not less than an MBBS, along with a fitness certificate post recovery.
Uniform & Grooming
Boys: White shirt with grey trousers, belt and neck tie.
Girls: Salwar kameez up to knee length with dupatta.
Classes VI–VIII: Yellow dupatta
Classes IX–X: Red dupatta
Classes XI–XII: Navy blue dupatta
- Socks: White in summers, grey in winters, with black shoes.
- Winter uniform: Grey pullover and grey single-breasted blazer with school logo
PT Uniform: White collared T-shirt with school logo at the back and navy blue lowers with two stripes.
Classes VI–X: Yellow stripes
Classes XI–XII: White stripes
- Students must be well-groomed: nails trimmed, proper haircut maintained.
- Boys must keep tidy haircuts and remain clean-shaven.
- No jewellery is allowed except small earrings for girls.
- Girls with long hair must wear two plaits with black rubber bands.
- Wearing ID cards is compulsory.
Discipline and Conduct
Students must not run or talk loudly in corridors or classrooms.
Use of abusive language or hitting others is strictly prohibited.
Students must walk in proper lines while moving to library, games, labs, etc.
Leaving the school premises without permission is not allowed.
Unfair means in examinations or tests are strictly forbidden.
Academic Responsibilities
Students must bring their complete bag as per the timetable.
All notices, homework and assignments should be noted in the almanac.
Missed work after absence must be completed responsibly.
Care for School Property
Students must not litter or waste water.
Furniture, computers, sports gear and lab equipment must be handled with care.
Digital and Mobile Usage
Smartwatches, mobile phones, gaming devices, earbuds, tablets, or any other digital device are not allowed.
If found, the device may be confiscated and returned only to parents by the school administration.
Participation and Representation
Students must take pride in representing the school in inter-school events, competitions and community programs.
Every child must uphold the ethos and values of Rainbow School both inside and outside the campus.
General Conduct
Our norms are not just rules but guiding principles that cultivate responsibility, confidence and values. They encourage discipline, respect, teamwork and compassion, helping students balance freedom with accountability. By following these principles, children learn self-discipline, integrity and ethical living, growing into thoughtful learners and responsible citizens.
- Students must show courtesy and respect to elders and peers and behave well at all times.
- A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear for the Annual Exam.
- Students must secure at least 33% marks in all subjects. Absence in tests or exams without valid reason results in a zero. No re-examination will be conducted.
- Students commuting by school buses must obey bus discipline. Damaging seats, curtains, or fighting with peers is prohibited.
- Bringing private vehicles to school is not allowed, even with a valid driving license.
- Parents may take wards home during school hours only in emergencies with Principal’s permission.
- Parents must seek prior appointment to meet the Principal or teachers.
